Anti-Christian Diatribe
For two thousand years you have been living under a false Prophet. The rich white man gave you this God and His Son to worship, to love, and to most of all: fear.
The church asks for your hard earned money to give to the less fortunate, but it is you who struggles to feed your children.
And yet, you pray.
You light your candle and get on your knees asking for His mercy upon your soul. He makes you beg for it, beg for eternal salvation, beg for the basic things your family needs to survive!
That's right, knees aching, hands clasped pleading, beads wrapped tightly around your wrists, head arched back to the heavens as the sun filters through the stained glass windows up above.
I can make it sound like erotic suffering.
He tells you to follow His "book", page after page of rape, killing, enslavement and inhumane treatment of women. But it's all ok. His son called His mother geneika, or "woman who birthed me". That's an excuse His male priests like to use. You're supposed to cover your hair, you are unclean during menstruation. Don't eat pork, or certain fish, and don't eat meat on these very specific days. The rules are many.
The white man's God took away your culture. Your people were rich. They had many Gods, and Goddesses too. We were Their image. They did the things we did. Drink too much wine, have sex with whomever we like. We had no sin under Their eyes. They asked us to dance in Their honor, roast a beast and feed your family as you drank to Their names!
Why did you abandon those Gods?
The One God, He's a very jealous God. He remembers the other Gods. He told you not to worship them, and you listened, but look what He did. The customs of your people are gone, the true Holy days of your people are forgotten, as are Their names.
Monuments to those Gods are crumbling, yet they still stand. The sun still shines through at the exact same place since they were built. They are there waiting for you to go home to Them.
Forget the One God and His evil, His sins, His lack of compassion and empathy. What God sends Their son here to die at the hands of mortals?
Why is He constantly testing your soul? Life isn't a test, it's living, it's enjoying your family and taking care of them. We used to be able to do that, before this God.
The time before the Abrahamic God, when each house had its own patron God or Goddess. Yes! One that watched over you and your family. Light the oil lamp, stand, arms raised in welcome, no need to kneel.
Through God, all things are indeed possible, but you should at least know His or Her name.
