Watching the Full Moon Rise
The unfortunate turned into good luck when our late bus gave Dino and I time to view the full moon rise over Manhattan from a beautiful vantage point on the Hoboken pier.
It was a warm night with so much color in the sky as the sun set and moon rose at approximately 7pm. With 55 minutes until our train (we missed the 6:25 by 5 minutes due to traffic), we decided to get a bit of dessert from Insomnia Cookies, which we haven’t had in over two years. On our way back we strolled along the water’s edge and noticed the moon was just about to crest the top of whatever building that is across the way:
My old iPhone XR of course can not do this picture justice. We hardly ever get to see the moon so big! Here it is without the zoom:
Tiny little moon.
I’m so happy we got to see this and just spend time together by the water, looking up at the sky as we munched on our cookies (Dino actually had a brownie).
Tomorrow is the actual full moon and it will be interesting to see how it rises then, around the same time.
Wherever you are, I hope you all have a lovely viewing of Her and do a little moon watching and bathing.
Blessed Be!
