New Moon in Aries 2021

My new moon in Aries tarot spread.

It’s nice to have a schedule again.  Yes, it’s my spiritual practice and not a job, but shit if Hasidic men can dedicate their whole life to study and collect benefits, why can’t I?  Feminism.

Today was a pretty cool new moon circle hosted by a dancer who is also an herbalist.  I sure wish that I could take her certification course but it’s 2000 bucks.  So yeah, that ain’t never happening.  In the grand scheme of certifications it’s extraordinarily cheap but I don’t have cash like that.  Sometimes I wish I could get a certification in something so I could work with people on this level with this type of work, but then I remember, oh yeah, it fucking hurts to get up in the morning, hence why I’m disabled to begin with.

Anyway, she led us through some sacred dance which I kinda swayed to at my desk because my leg is really hurting from the rain today.  Then she did a guided meditation, and finally read a poem that she had been called to write.  All in all pretty awesome.

This wasn’t my only zoom call.  Bright and early was the tarot HoopYogini class, but at 8:30 am I am stiff as a board (if you don’t get that joke, than I really don’t know why you’re reading a Wiccan’s life story) and can’t walk too well, let alone do Hatha yoga combined with hula hooping.  So I listened to what she had to say about the card she chose to represent this morning’s class which was Temperance, a card meaning balance.

After that it was Sunday business as usual.  Brunch at 10am, laundry shortly after that, home for the rest of the afternoon to veg out.  Dinner was a delightful vegan meal of rice, lentils and pan seared asparagus.  I think from now on I’m going to try and make Sabbat and Esbat meals vegan.  I think that just aligns more with Earth energy, plus it gets more vegetables into our tummies, so that’s pretty cool too.  I make sure I cook with warming and nutritious spices like turmeric and black pepper.  Food is fuel and medicine.

Of course, I did my tarot spread this morning.  A single card for the day as well as the new moon in Aries spread seen above.  Overall a very positive reading.  I know what I have to work on, and what needs to be slowed down.  For example I think my generosity with free readings needs to be slowed down, while amazingly rebellious (my personal mantra being Free is best!), I can’t help everyone.  What needs to be worked on is move movement with purpose like a yoga routine.  I could also try the Tibetan Rites.  Those are very straight forward and doable for me.  I know I can do them to a certain extent, just not every day and certainly not at 8:30 am.  I’m hoping that my knee pain today is only rain related and not a result of the yoga I did on Friday.  I’m 6 years past the doctors estimation of me needing a wheel chair, so right now I just gonna go with the flow and do what I can to not be in that chair.

Blessed Be!
