A Fairy Garden

Gotta get those veggies in when you’re hard at work.

It has been Ana’s dream for a long time to make a fairy garden.  Her dream has now come true.  Grandma set aside a spot in the corner outside the house where she can set up little odds and ends that Shadow and his mom had collected many years ago.

Today, Ana’s aunt even brought her more fairy garden items from a garden store that sold all manner of whimsical things. They had fairies and trolls, mushrooms and Buddhas.  It was a magical little place.  We certainly don’t have great mom and pop stores like that in NJ.

Ana has finished building up this little side and is now continuing along the other side of the house where grandma has about 18 inches of dirt along the concrete path going around the entire house.  There is a Japanese maple tree in the middle of that side but Ana will work around it filling it with the bits and bobs her daddy saved.

I think, that when we get back home, we need to make a fairy garden in the park.  I know Miriam the park attendant will let them.  The girls have been talking about it for two years now. I’ll see what odds and ends we can find around the house and what Dollar Tree may have.  It’ll be nice for her to have something like this back home too.

Magic must always be kept alive!
